Intervention Ministries exists to resource people with a Biblical perspective. The task is multi-faceted but centered around the relational needs of families. Intervention Ministries seeks to clarify and present models for God's idea about life. In part, the mission statement of the organization reads:
"The corporation will carry out its efforts through the teaching of God's Word, the Holy Bible, in the home, church, camps, seminars, youth groups, men's groups, mission trips, retreats, work shops and other means of written materials and media presentations."
Dick Dixon founded Intervention Ministries in 1994 after serving as a tribal missionary in Papua New Guinea between 1985 and 1993. He lived and worked among the Aria and Ivanga tribes planting churches and training Bible teachers. Intervention Ministries is a continuation of this missionary work.
Intervention Ministries is a State of Missouri not-for-profit Corporation with a 501 C 3 tax exempt status. IM is funded through the financial gifts of individuals and organizations who identify with our purpose.
The IM Center is a busy community of activities led by a growing volunteer network. From Meth Addiction Intervention to the Thrift Store, from Single Parents Family Dinner to Youth Skills Learning Camp, the list is getting longer each year.
The Board of Directors represents a cross section of vocations and area churches. The Board includes: Mr. Bob Ingold, Mr. Rod Hoover, Mr. John Tisdale, Dr. Lou Harris, Mr. Mick Bednara, and Mr. Dick Dixon.
