Beams of Light
Beams of Light was started by two mothers who had children serving in the Military. They were neighbors who wished there was someplace local for families of Military personnel to go to about their needs. Many others with family in the Military also wanted someone to talk to and somewhere to go. Finding no outreach in service for this need locally, they decided to form their own.
Goals
We hope to find local aid for families including finding phone numbers and addresses of people, groups, or organizations willing to help in any way. We are also there for each other and put our ideas together in a way that benefits the families and our loved ones serving home or abroad.
We the families of Military personnel, would like to thank all who are helping support our troops.
Services
We have started collecting items from various sources and are sending care packages to our overseas Military. Funding for this project is made possible through Intervention Ministries. A pastor is present at each of our meetings though our local Ministerial Alliance of Churches. Also, a prayer bulletin board with Military persons is on display.
