Financial Intervention Partners is a ministry of Intervention Ministries that serves to meet people's needs in the area of personal finances. Financial Intervention Partners is committed to helping individuals and families apply biblical principles and practical solutions to managing personal finances.
Financial Intervention Partners was developed from a volunteer ministry that Tom Werth began in 1997. Tom is trained and certified as a financial counselor through Larry Burkett's organization, Christian Financial Concepts. He has provided many individuals and families with biblically-based financial counsel and budget training.
Financial Intervention Partners assists members of the community through a variety of individual and group education and counseling.
Financial Intervention Partners exists to provide individuals and families with stewardship education, financial counseling, budget training and debt management.
Money Wise Workshop
Money Wise Workshop is a four-hour workshop taught by Tom Werth and held at local churches for church members and people in the surrounding community. The workshop covers many topics including:
- biblical principles on personal finances
- keys to true financial freedom
- setting financial goals
- practicing good stewardship
- developing a spending plan (budget)
- managing debt effectively
- practical ways to reduce expenses
Each person or couple attending the workshop receives an information binder complete with tools and resources that will help equip them to exercise good stewardship and manage their personal finances.
Stewardship Education
Financial Intervention Partners teaches people through individual counseling and group workshops how to manage personal finances from a biblical perspective. More than half of Jesus' parables and over 2,000 scripture references address issues related to money and possessions. The foundation for personal finances is the belief that God owns it all! We are merely managers of everything that God has entrusted to us. As managers, we are responsible to exercise good stewardship, which requires knowledge, understanding and acceptance of what God's word says about things like saving, spending, giving and debt.
Financial Counseling
Financial Intervention Partners offers people biblically-based financial advice and counsel. Depending on the need, we provide one-time or ongoing counsel. This service offers:
- encouragement
- accountability
- knowledge and understanding
- communication tools for spouses
- stewardship education
- practical solutions
We provide a complete financial assessment and a comprehensive plan that addresses specific personal financial issues.
Budget Training
Financial Intervention Partners has developed materials that provide people with the tools necessary to create a personal spending plan. The benefits of a spending plan are:
- manages monthly cash flow
- reveals areas of overspending
- provides resources for future needs
- relieves many financial stresses
- helps us to live within our means
- provides accountability
Our budgeting tools help categorize monthly expenses, calculate net spendable income, save for non-monthly expenses, set short- and long-term goals and much more. A spending plan is essential to exercising good stewardship and applying biblical principles to managing personal finances.
Debt Management
Financial Intervention Partners believes that everyone can become debt free and experience financial freedom. In order to assist people in this process, we have developed a debt management program that offers:
- accelerated debt repayment
- reduction, if necessary, of payments
- reduction or elimination of interest rates
- elimination of late charges
- elimination of over-the-limit fees
- re-age past due accounts
- one monthly payment
- stop collection calls at home and work
- monthly detailed reporting
The debt management program provides ongoing encouragement, accountability, training and stewardship education.
