"'For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the LORD, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.'" — Jeremiah 29:11

New Life After Divorce provides sensitive group support for those dealing with divorce recovery. A one-day workshop is offered at the IM Center in the spring and fall upon request. This workshop has also been conducted in Springfield, Waynesville, and El Dorado Springs and will travel to other locations within the region upon request.

A nine-week small group study of the workbook, A Time for Healing, is formed when enough people request it. Helping divorced persons grow through the impact of a broken marriage is examined in a biblical context.

Contact Intervention Ministries if you would like to attend this excellent support group for those dealing with the aftermath of divorce.

From Carl Blomenkamp, Workshop Facilitator—

New Life After Divorce began in 1996 as an outreach ministry through Intervention Ministries. Our mission states that we are "here to minister Christ-centered healing to all those involved in the tragedy of divorce." After a year of organizational meetings to establish a foundation, our first workshop was held in March 1997.

In Luke 4:18, Jesus said, "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me . . . to heal the broken-hearted." We have used the avenue of one-day workshops and small group meetings to minister His healing in a non-condemning, non-judgmental environment.

We believe that those who have gone through the tragedy of divorce are those who are best able to help others based on what the Word says in II Corinthians 1:3-4: "Blessed be the God . . . of all comfort; who comforts us in all our affliction so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God."
